New Ticmint Event Ticketing Platform Updates You Need to Know

Ticmint Update: Guest Checkout, Apple Pay & More

Overview

Buying a ticket should never feel harder than it needs to be. Forcing a first-time buyer to create an account before they can pay is one of the most common reasons carts get abandoned. As a result, we shipped a set of updates to the Ticmint event ticketing platform built around that exact problem. This update also added a new Product Module for add-on sales, DTCM-compliant recurring events for UAE organisers, and dozens of stability fixes across the dashboard, checkout, and Explore pages. In particular, the headline release is Guest Checkout. This highly requested feature lets attendees complete a purchase without ever creating an account, and it’s live now on every plan.

Altogether, this roundup covers every release from BE-2.0.12 through BE-2.0.25 — three release cycles’ worth of updates. As always, every fix and feature below has already shipped to production and is available in your Ticmint dashboard today.

Why These Event Ticketing Platform Updates Matter

Small friction points compound. For example, a dashboard bug that hides a recurring event’s analytics is not dramatic on its own. Neither is a checkout screen that still shows tax after an organiser disabled it. Nor is an Explore page banner that crops badly on mobile. But together, these small issues cost organisers time and cost attendees trust. Consequently, this release cycle targeted that compounding friction directly. The goal was fewer clicks to buy a ticket, and fewer support tickets from confused organisers. It also meant a cleaner path from browsing an event to holding a confirmed order.

Guest Checkout: A Faster Path Through the Event Ticketing Platform

Guest Checkout lets an attendee complete a ticket purchase on Ticmint without creating an account first. Additionally, it is one of the most requested features from organisers who sell to first-time, one-off buyers. In fact, sports fans, festival-goers, and corporate attendees rarely have a reason to set up a login for a single event.

Organisers can configure Guest Checkout in four modes from Event Settings. Each mode controls how much friction is removed, and where:

ModeWhen It Applies
Guest Checkout (General)Available throughout the entire booking flow
Before Ticket SelectionGuest option shown before the attendee picks a ticket
After Ticket Selection (Default)Guest option shown after ticket selection, before payment
Before PaymentGuest option shown only at the final payment step

Either an email address or a WhatsApp number is mandatory for guest checkouts. This way, organisers still receive a delivery channel for the ticket and confirmation, even without a full account. As a result, organisers get the reach of a lower-friction checkout without losing the ability to reach every buyer after purchase.

Guest Checkout can be turned on or off per event from Event Settingssee the setup guide.

Apple Pay Now Works Through CCAvenue

Payment checkout UI: left column with Cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Wallet; center card-entry form; right side order details showing AED 60.00

CCAvenue merchants can now offer Apple Pay at checkout. For organisers running events in markets where CCAvenue is the primary gateway, this closes a real gap. Apple Pay is often the fastest checkout option on mobile, and mobile is where most ticket purchases happen. Furthermore, combined with Guest Checkout, an attendee can now go from an Explore page to a confirmed ticket in a few taps. No account and no manual card entry required.

Product Module: Build Complete Catalogs on Your Event Ticketing Platform

Beyond checkout, this cycle also shipped the Product Module. It lets organisers build a full product catalog instead of managing add-ons one by one. Organisers can now:

  • Create categories and sub-categories for products
  • Add products at the event level or globally, so a merch line can be reused across every event on the account
  • Sell Food, Parking, Merch, Vouchers, and other add-ons through the same catalog structure

As a result, this matters for organisers running anything from a single food stall to a multi-vendor festival marketplace. The catalog structure scales down to a small event and up to a large one, without changing how it’s managed. In addition, partners can now view Category and Subcategory on every product. Explore pages that previously broke on long variant names or missing product images now render consistently in every case.

DTCM Recurring Events on Ticmint's Event Ticketing Platform

DTCM

Organisers running events in the UAE can now create DTCM-compliant recurring events directly on Ticmint, with:

  • Multiple slots under a single event
  • Separate tickets issued per slot
  • Bundle pass support across slots
  • Discount support
  • A structure aligned to DTCM’s compliance workflow

Similarly, the Sales Tag and Schedule Tag now work correctly across every event type, including recurring events. Both tags flag ticket availability and timing, and both had previously been inconsistent on recurring events.

More Flexibility for Complex Ticketing: Multiple Access Rules per Ticket

Access Rule

Organisers can now attach multiple access rules to the same ticket type, instead of being limited to one rule per ticket. For example, a single General Admission ticket can now carry separate entry windows for different zones:

RuleAccess Window
Main Entry10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Food Entry10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
VIP Entry10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This is built for events with layered access, a festival with a general zone and a VIP zone, or a tournament with separate entry and food-court windows. As a result, organisers no longer need to create a separate ticket type for every access rule.

Event Ticketing Platform Fixes: Dashboard, Checkout & Explore Pages

The rest of this cycle was stability and consistency work across the platform.

Dashboard

  • New Ticmint favicon replaces the old one across the dashboard
  • Recurring Event (parent) name now displays correctly on the Analytics page
  • Google Sign-In removed from the dashboard login for consistency with the checkout flow

Access Rules

  • Fixed a bug where expanding or collapsing one access rule affected every other rule on the same ticket
  • Access rule time selection UI updated to match the latest design

Checkout, Tax & Partner Dashboard

Selecting “Don’t Show” for tax was still displaying tax on single events, that’s fixed. Additionally, Payment Gateway visibility is restored on the Partner Dashboard, where it had stopped showing.

Explore Pages

  • Layout 3 and Layout 4 now work correctly for recurring events
  • Banner image cropping fixed across web and mobile, on every layout
  • Layout 4 free events no longer show “00” instead of the ticket description
  • Layout 4 registration pages no longer show quantity “1” for every ticket regardless of actual selection
  • The “Occurrence” label removed from recurring events on Explore pages

Also Fixed Earlier This Quarter

Attendees logging in via WhatsApp can now see their email and mobile number in Recent Orders. Additionally, order details no longer go missing on the Order Details page. Similarly, deleted registration forms no longer appear on Explore pages after removal.
