The Mumbai Titans pulled off a thrilling 77-74 win over the Hyderabad Falcons at the Thyagraj Indoor Stadium, securing their second victory over the table toppers in the InBL Pro U25. Despite missing key players Pranav Prince and Lamar Patterson, the Titans showed tenacity and resilience, while the Falcons were without Jack Purchase, Kushal Singh, and Harsh Dagar.

Elijah Puna was the standout performer, dominating both ends of the floor with a commanding 22 points and 18 rebounds. Liam Judd and Dalph Panopio chipped in with 12 points each, providing crucial support in a game that went down to the wire.

The Falcons started strong, capitalizing on early foul trouble for the Titans’ Lokendra Singh. Rishabh Mathur and Alex Robinson pushed Hyderabad to a 22-17 lead after the first quarter. However, the Titans responded emphatically, unleashing an 11-0 run behind Judd and Puna’s relentless play.

Sumanth S and Harry Morris kept the Falcons within reach with clutch three-pointers, but Puna’s dominance on the boards gave the Titans a four-point lead at halftime.

The intensity soared in the third quarter as both teams battled for control. Riyanshu Negi and Morris knocked down threes for Hyderabad, while Panopio answered with three straight buckets for the Titans. A fiercely contested finish to the quarter saw Mumbai cling to a one-point lead heading into the final stretch.

With everything on the line, Kalyan Kitto powered the Titans in the paint, extending the lead to 10 midway through the fourth. But the Falcons refused to back down—Negi drilled back-to-back threes to cut the gap, setting up a dramatic finale.

With the game in the balance, Judd threw down a powerful two-handed slam in transition to put Mumbai ahead. Hyderabad had a chance to send it to overtime, but Prashant Singh Rawat’s open three-point attempt bounced off the rim, sealing a hard-fought Titans victory.
