The Gujarat Stallions showcased their dominance in the InBL Pro U25 2025 with a remarkable 83-72 victory over the Mumbai Titans at the Thyagraj Indoor Stadium. Jock Perry was a force in the paint, scoring 25 points, while Joshua Duach contributed 17, helping the Stallions avenge their previous 69-63 defeat to the Titans.
The game kicked off at an electrifying pace, with the Titans attacking aggressively and gaining an early four-point advantage. However, Perry kept the Stallions in contention with crucial offensive rebounds. Durrell McDonald and Lokendra Singh hit big shots from deep, maintaining Mumbai’s lead. Just as the first quarter ended, Perry nailed a clutch three-pointer, reducing the deficit to 22-21.
The second quarter became a three-point shooting contest. Tushal Singh and Duach fired for the Stallions, while Elijah Puna and Lokendra Singh answered back for the Titans, keeping the game tight. Midway through, turnovers by the Stallions allowed Mumbai to stretch their lead to seven. However, both teams tightened their defenses, leading to a scoring drought, before Perry calmly sank free throws to level the game at 41-41 by halftime.
The momentum shifted drastically in the third quarter as the Stallions erupted with a dominant 14-2 run, fueled by Tushal Singh, Nate Roberts, and Prince Tyagi, exposing weaknesses in the Titans’ defense. Gujarat controlled the rebounds, limiting Mumbai’s second-chance opportunities and extending their lead to double digits. Despite Mumbai’s efforts inside, they struggled to counter Amarendra Nayak’s sharp shooting and Roberts’ strength under the basket, allowing Gujarat to enter the final quarter with a nine-point lead.
McDonald sparked hopes of a Titans comeback with a three-pointer to open the fourth quarter, but Duach and Singh kept the Stallions in command with relentless scoring. With three minutes remaining, Puna used his post moves to cut the deficit to eight, but the Stallions maintained their composure. They controlled the tempo, and Perry sealed the win with a smooth turnaround jumper, securing the game beyond Mumbai’s reach.
